Step 5: Native Engagio Charts in Salesforce (Visualforce)
What are "Native Engagio Charts in Salesforce"?
Our "Native Charts" feature brings Engagio insights directly to the Account in Salesforce. You can now add Account Highlights, Engagement Trends and lists of activities directly to the account view for your Sales and Marketing team.
We're taking the charts our Chrome Extension was adding to the page and wraps them in VisualForce components and Salesforce Lightning Apps.
This feature solves for previous limitations
- Using Google Chrome was mandatory and required our Chrome extension to be downloaded and logged in
- Couldn't control page layout positioning for all users
What does this mean for Scout in Salesforce?
- Our extension won't add charts if any new Engagio component is added to the page layout.
- Scout still works great in Salesforce via the sidebar on the right side of the page, and adds unique buttons like the "Run Play" button that is not supported natively in Salesforce.
Installing in Salesforce
Step 1: Install our Latest AppExchange Package
Step 2: Follow the Classic or Lightning Instructions below
Step 1: Go to an account page that you would want to add the chart layouts to and click the Edit Layout text link at the top of the page.
Step 2: Go to VisualForce Pages to see all the available Engagio visual force pages.
Step 3: Drag the VisualForce components onto the page layout as desired. Optional: Create a Section for each VisualForce Component, that way a user can collapse and expand the individual components as needed.
Pro Tip: You want to make this new section One column, rather than the default two-column arrangement.
Step 4: Click on the wrench at the top right of the Visual Force page on hover. In the modal that opens, update the height of the page for each chart. The following is a list for each chart Engagio offers:
- Engagement Trend: 350px
- Account Highlights: 200px
- Engagement Activities: 400px
- Heatmap: 250px
Step 5: Optionally add these same components to the Opportunity page layouts by following steps 2 - 4.
Step 6: Once complete and you're logged in to Engagio, you will see the following in your Salesforce Classic instance:
